We Are Different From Other Design Firms

The First advantage is our design team:

My wife Joan and I are partners and we oversee an excellent staff. The client is the most important member of our team. (See Design Process). We spend our time building concepts and plans with you. Our staff allows us to custom design much of the furnishings, so we always can produce the best choices.

We've been fortunate to work on over 200 projects in the decade plus since I left Wall Street. It has been a wonderful journey. We have two boys, Max and Conrad, so we understand interiors need not only to be beautiful but livable.


The Second difference that sets us apart is Economics:

We have a unique way of working. Furnishings have a large mark-up which can be as high as 250% - 400%. Our preferred way of working is to get our clients things at cost and then charge a fee (See Economics). Even with design fees the client does much better than they could on their own, and more importantly, benefits from our help. We source all over the world. An average project will have over 60 vendors. Because of the volume of business we do, significant discounts can be negotiated and passed on to the client.
